Flores de Mayo is a lively Catholic festival celebrated throughout May in the Philippines to pay tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The name "Flores de Mayo," which translates to "Flowers of May" in Spanish, is believed to have originated in Malolos, Bulacan, around 1865. The month-long festivities culminate in a significant event known as the Santacruzan procession, which honors Queen Helena and Emperor Constantine's quest for the Holy Cross. After nine days of dedicated prayer focusing on the Holy Cross, this beautiful celebration symbolizes the finding of the cross in Jerusalem, a tradition that also holds significance in Rome.

SIMBANG GABI is a beloved tradition among Filipino Catholics that prepares us for the joyous Christmas feast. This devotion honors the Blessed Virgin Mary and symbolizes the nine months she carried Jesus. For nine consecutive evenings, we gather in local parishes for Mass, fostering a spirit of Advent that emphasizes both individual and communal preparation. This time strengthens our community bonds as we unite in worship and prayer, sharing the joy of anticipation while preparing our hearts for the miraculous birth of Jesus.

Way of the Cross on Black Saturday
The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion that commemorates Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. The 14 devotions, or stations, focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His condemnation. The stations are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as the individual moves from station to station. At each station, the individual recalls and meditates on a specific event from Christ's last day. Specific prayers are recited, then the individual moves to the next station until all 14 are complete​
